Drove past a female blackbird on the side of the road yesterday. Thought it might have been hit by a car because it wasn't moving. Went back to check. She was asleep with her head tucked into her back.

When I picked her up she didn't struggle. Took her home and put her into a darkened box with food and water for a few hours. She perked up nicely and I released her. Hopefully she's one of the many healthy blackbirds at my feeders today.

Must have been exhausted and hungry.
