Filled out the online application for new account with TD W.
Sending them on the VOI form and then getting my id and proof of address stamped. and sending W8: Ben form for US stocks.

But at the bottom of the form it says you can freepost it to Dublin which can take up to 10 days, or post it to UK for speedier processing.

Who did ye send yers to, and how long did it take? I'd send all to UK but I was thinking if there is something amiss, who knows, I might be better off if my documents are in Dublin. And why would it take longer if I send to Dublin? Is it that they then send it themselves from Dublin to UK? If so then I'm as well off send to UK?

Send it to uk with Tracking. Tendancy to get lost. If you send it to Dublin they just forward it to UK

You will have real time prices for trades with Davy/goodie ect too, but you won't have real time graphs etc with anyone.

That €20 surely doesn't cover the foreign broker charges with so I doubt you could do it for that price.
