Job Hunting for Part Quals/Assistant Accountants...

    How are folks finding the job situation, there seems to be more jobs advertised via agencies etc but is it just CV harvesting, particularly for part-qual/Assistant Accountant type roles...

    The agencies are a joke I honestly don't believe that the positions advertised are there,I've been looking quite a while now but no joy the search goes on

    Agencies are a joke.

    I keep getting emails off them with 'exciting opportunities'. I also get emails off them with Manager type roles even though I am only part qualified...

    I don't believe the Jobs advertised on their sites are real. Its all a load of bollox and very frustrating this looking for a job lark!

    Anybody notice the amt of positions available on fas.ie for WPP1 for trainee accountants/part qualified and account assistants. I have been unable to get a p/q position and i think i know why :rolleyes: i won't work for free. Its very depressing out there

    Yeah its very depressing out there sometimes I don't see the point of getting out of bed as there seems to be no work anywhere(even crappy Tesco type jobs). All I do these days is exercise as I have nothing else to do. Fairly sad being in the gym at 1pm during the day with all the retired people or people who where forced into retirement.
