before i start i'd like to state im a tool for this :(

i done well in my LC and got the course i wanted in sligo i got there and i loved it during the begining went in for the first 2 weeks fine and dandy but then i started realising i didnt have to go in and it started becoming a trend for me and eventually i had prob missed 5 weeks easily.

now im deciding whether or not to go back to college or not :(

i got accepted for the grant and all and i got my reg fee back but i think cause i missed too much time i aint getting my monthly grant payment.

another problem too i moved in with 2nd years and they all got work exp. for the rest of the year so i have to move out and i have a place to go but i cant afford to pay a deposit cause the lack of the grant.

so i dunno whether to go back and be very very poor and miserable or to drop out.

but if i do drop out what are my options ?
can i do a diffrent course next year// will i get aa grant on that course
can i go to a diff college next year

    any feedback is muchly appreciated

You really have to consider what your options are.

What are the alternatives to going back to college? Will you get a job? I would say most likely not.

Which is the lesser of several evils? Sounds like college is. The only thing is, if you do decide to go back, you will really need to motivate yourself to complete it. You will be in an even worse position if you fail the year.

ok, well at least if i finish this year i'll have achieved something whether i fail it or not.

but if i do fail and want to go back to college again for a different course in a different county what are my chances of getting a grant again ?

the course i'm doing now is a level 7 course but if i were to do a level 8 course i would still be able to get the grant again as far as i know right ?

I would definitely say, if at all possible, try to stick the year out. I dropped out at the start of this year and am starting to regret it. I have a job, so things aren't too bad, but it can be quite lonely and it's hard not having the sense of achievement you get from education. If you motivate yourself and really try to do your best you can at least discover weather or not the course is for you.
