Question about cleats

Which is better fixed or self-aligning?

I understand that self-aligning are easier to set up, more accommodating and less likely to lead to injury (is that true?) but if I take the time to set up a fixed set is there much of a performance difference?

I presume you're talking about the degree of "float". On looks there are red with most foat grey with less and black with minimal.
Most of the serious racers and pro's use the black. The logic is the foot is less likely to come free during hard efforts and sprints.
Other than that I think the performance differnece is minimal.
