I have never been so cold in my life. The weather we've been getting lately is certainly the coldest i've ever had.

When was the last one? I have heard someone mention Jan 1982. Is this true? I was born in september of 1982, so i know what my parents did to keep warm. And i now know why my mother often refers to me as being a cold and bitter person. :(

Yeah, early eighties for me too - eighty two or three. I was five or six and the snow was deeper than I was tall. I remember we all had to walk in a line with my dad going first so he could carve out a path for us to take. :D

It's weird that you think of your parents having sex.

Put on the superser probably, unless it took your ould lad 2 months to cum.

Back then the only heat was from the 2 bar electric heater in the corner and the friction of two bodies grinding against each other for hours on end. The slap of sweaty skin on skin combining with the hum and crackle of the heater to create an erotic soundtrack for your conception.

Think about that. Get a good mental picture lisajane.

Start of January to the start of September is actually 8 months. So it depends what part of September the OP was born in.

Pregnancies aren't 9 months, they're just estimated at that.

Lucky you. We didn't even have the 2bar! In fact It was so cold in our house that we'd all gather around granddad and stay warm by lighting his farts.

Well since you were in Bagdad at the time that's an easy mistake to make.

They're not all 9 months. But they're estimated at that because well, it's a good estimate. :p

Sept 1982 was...interesting. I remember opening the front door and a massive snow drift collapse into the hallway. I was 6 at the time and I was covered by the avalanche of snow! Not sure about the temp, but I reckon it was at least as cold as the last week and there was about 10 times as much snow.

The Big Snow of 1947 was apparently even worse than the snow of 1982. But I reckon nobody here has even heard of the 1947 snow. When I was growing up it was always brought up by my grandparents when even a flake of snow hit the talamh!

This video was filmed around Walkinstown and Crumlin.
