Registration plates on car zone

I just looked up the registration number of a car for sale on carzone. The reg plate was easy to read from the photograph and when I typed it in to the quick free search avail it came up as a toyota rav! But the car I was looking at wasn't a Rav. Is there any reason for this?

Another thing about a different advertisement--- another car I looked at had the reg. number covered over. The plate was on the car but it was photoshopped and the number covered over.. why would a seller do this?

Are you just talking about the difference in characters or the speeling (RAV Vs rav!)? I wouldnt worry about it.

My Safrane was on the VLC as Safranne. They also had the colour (silver) down as Grey.

EDIT just checked it on Carzone and it shows the wrong spellign from the VLC as the model but the description hase the name again but with the right spelling.

    Registration 97D97
    Make RENAULT
    Model SAFRANNE
    Description SAFRANE 2.5 RXE AUTO

These things are only as good as the people putting the information in.

Some people blur out the plates due to being afraid of car cloning; and/or to make it harder to get a cartell check done before you view it.

Nothing wrong with the spelling Stekelly.

The car i was looking at was not a Toyota Rav. But that is what came up as the car details when I did a search on the registration plate.

    Looks dodgy.

could be something as simple as the plates printed up incorrectly. try similar different combinations of numbers on cartell and see what comes up.
