    Hi,

Im moving from the UK to rented accomodation in Greystones, Co Wicklow. The Landlord has informed me that there is no phone line installed and broadband is received via a dish on the house, i assume he means this is a receiver for Digiweb metro ?

I have asked him to confirm this, but assuming this is the case can anyone advise me if this service is reliable, i play online poker so need a rock solid reliable connection (speed is not really an issue).

Would i be better off getting a phone line installed by Eircom (free at the moment) and going with Eircom DSL ?

    Thanks Paul.

I have metro and I can't complain about the connection overall, I think the only times its breifly vanished was during a thunderous storm. I have had the Thomson modem play up a bit in recent months (comes in spells), but thats fixed with repowering and a wait about a min until the OS recognises its back.
