What would be the difference in the JKD that Rick does with what you guys do?

The is little difference in the basics as they are the same.
Rick is a Senior Instructor under Guro Dan and is likely more educated in the LA Chinatown era of JKD although he is very well versed in the Jun Fan Gung Fu method. He is a professional full time Instructor in several martial arts,BJJ,JKD,CSW, Thai Boxing and others.

Thanks. But what is the difference in his LA Chinatown JKD and your JKD?
By the way I know almost nothing about JKD.

He's a BJJ/MMA guy now, though he still teaches JKD/Jun Fan kickboxing. I used to live in Edinburgh where his school is, and locally he's known as a BJJ + MMA place, not so much for JKD.

Also he's considered to be one of the top guys in the world. He was the first guy in the UK to get a BJJ black belt (under Mauricio Gomes) and he's won BJJ world championships at masters and senior level.

One of the biggest regrets I have is that I didn't train with him when I had the chance.

Rick is one of the good guys. I lived in Edinburgh from 96 to 01 and trained a little at his club during that time.

PS Maurico Gomes is Roger Gracies daddy

I was at Rick's BJJ and Thai Boxing seminar last year and this guy is well worth the money

He's a true martial artist with a very open minded approach
