Found this on another forum, let's hear it for the little guys!

A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar. During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create a music video for YouTube exposing their lack of cooperation. The Manager responded: "Good luck with that one, pal".

So he posted a retaliatory video on YouTube. The video has since received over 7 million hits. United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video. Naturally his response was: "Good luck with that one, pal".

Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for the product recognition from the video that has lead to a sharp increase in orders.

    Here's the video.....United Breaks Guitars <

Another example of how social media is becoming a powerful tool, fair play to the chap

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Proper good dude.
I love hearing stories like this, especially when the one's in power are smug bastards that get brought to their knees.

Exactly. Social media is becoming very powerful these days.

When his video was released and took off, he wiped $100 million dollars off the share price of United airlines in 24 Hours. Bet they wished they paid out the compo in the first place.

Before I praise the musician involved, I need to verify that he doesn't have long hair.

    Why?

Rebelling against your betters is one thing, but coupled with guitar ownership and long hair.....well.

I'm afraid to look at the video in case he's sporting zany head wear of some description.

    Why?

Coz long hair is for gaybos

Stephen Hendry's snooker cue was damaged on the flight from the Thailand Open to Sheffield because they wouldn't let him take it on in hand luggage. He subsequently lost the World Championship.

He should have made a you-tube video too.

I fully support United Airlines attempt to stifle this heinous offspring of Chris de Burgh and Garth Brooks.

There's actually an extra charge for that on Ryanair.
