hello i posted in another thread and was told put that somewhere else.
so here goes. We are looking for a computer to maintain website for a ukelele lovers. (it really does take all sorts) not like those strange people and their car fetishes but genuine ukulele enthusiasts so requires basic facilities for uploading little vids off youtube etc and also basic work functions for an individuals regular computing stuff. So no major gaming required, just a good functional computer.
a monitor would be handy as at present not got one, the last one went with the computer under someones arm out the door, little termigant.

Thread hijack; offending posts split off to this new thread to avoid confusion.

Hang on a sec, will put a build together. From the sounds of it most stuff would be handled web-side so the most important thing would be the internet connection; nothing we can do about that ;) Aside from that sounds like you need a fairly basic machine with some reasonable storage.

Important question: Do you need an OS as well? Or keyboard/mouse?

Here's something slightly upmarket for under €500 inc. shipping:

Plenty of computing power, full 4GB DDR3, fast HDD, 1080p monitor. I left it with a basic mobo, case and PSU, and stuck with onboard video for now as you're not gaming on it :P If you need to cut back further I can easily downsize on CPU, mobo and RAM but an AMD CPU won't be ideal if you use any Adobe applications (e.g. Photoshop) on the machine as they have issues with them :o
