i used to live in maynooth and remember the ruins out the dublin road being in much better condition than when i saw them recently, is the OPW ignoring these ruins? they used to be quite stable and people could walk in around the site but now the walls are less than half the height they were and the whole site is closed off due to the remains being completly unstable.

have the opw not been maintaining this site over the years? maybe it would be perfect for apartmants if the site were cleared?

They built 'props' about a year ago after large sections of it collapsed and it has been fenced off ever since.

Is it the old 12th century Donaghcumper church? The local historical society are fundraising to preserve it. The OPW haven't taken it on as a project.
