    Hi all,

I found this site that claims to sell factory unlocked iphones that can be upgraded through the apple store.

    http://www.ibazaar.ie/

They dont have many other products and no info about themselves.

Has anyone used them and can you confirm the phone arrived factory unlocked?

I have heard that Tethering etc does not work on Factory Unlocked phones like these but I'm unsure of this.. Anyone know the answer?

Hi I bought my iPhone from www.ibazaar.ie just before Christmas and to my surprise the iPhone was sealed packed and I am on meteor and it recognised straight away. They even gave case and screen protector free with the iPhone.
It mentions on the site if you are not happy they offer money back.

Website might be legit but my comments are below.

I think prices look too good for a factory unlock Iphone, only a few EUR more than O2 Prepay Iphones that are Locked, also they have no contact details on the website no address or phone number.

Payment only with paypal but once you pay if seller transfers the money out of Paypal you have no way of getting it back.

In my opinion the website stinks of a scam. No contact/location details except an email address, the prices seem too good to be true, the "testimonials" look ridiculously made-up and it is displaying the "Paypal Verified" logo on the site but if you go to Paypal they say info@ibazaar.ie is NOT PayPal Verified. They may be legit but there's enough question marks in my opinion to warrant staying away from them.

Are 'Devteam' and 'ibazaar' the same person!?

ibaazar, can these iphones be paid for, and collected in person? Where are you based?

Also, just out of curiosity , why are you offering to sell them to us at a loss?

The simply matter is the person does not know anything about the website is already saying that it is spam and it hurts. secondly the simple thing is this is a new business so we are not charging VAT as we not VAT registered so that is discount we passing on to the customer and we have clarified with the revenue. We will have to ask customers permission before we can give out the information. The profit we make is mainly on the accessories.

Hi ibazaar, I didn't say your site is a scam..

I am in business though, and if you are not registered for VAT, that also means you can't claim the VAT back when you purchase the iphone, so there is no 'discount' to pass on...

anyway, can you let us know if we can pay and collect in person? If so, where are you based?

    Thanks.

After a bit of research (Columbo style) i found out a couple of things, Devteam posted on a thread about some online dj site which they have a set on. Which Aalek (which the ibazaar site is registered to) broadcasts on this site (see twitter page ). Now this may well be a coincidence and I’m no 70's police detective but it's a bit suspect that the 1 person that said they bought on ibazaar happens to DJ on the same website as the registered owner of ibazaar. I'd like to hear an explanation.

yep, I already gathered that 'devteam' and 'ibazaar' are probably the same person.

This just means he is trying to plug his business, doesn't mean that the site is a scam, it may well not be, but I'm not too sure if I would take the risk myself.
