    1. Get a toilet paper tube and crease two lines to form a flat sided tunnel.
    2. Put a treat on one end of the tube: A cracker and dab of peanut butter works great.
    3. Get a tall (at least 20 inches) bucket. A trash can works well.
    4. Balance the tube precariously on the edge of a table or counter with the treat hanging directly over the tall sided receptacle.
    5. The mouse will scurry to the treat (they like tunnels) and fall into the trap.

Set the fella loose at least a mile away from your abode.

Thank you for this. Do you happen to know if it works on monkeys as well? I've a bit of an escaped monkey problem to deal with at the moment.

    Lol at this comment:
Very nice! I'll have to try it but with a blender instead.

So he can freeze to death? The above is the humane method of catching them, but the last part defeats the purpose really..

Ah come on. I highly doubt that every single mouse is trained by animal trainers.

Doesn't work well with winged monkeys though they keep escaping from the bin somehow :(

It's a mouse... a m-o-u-s-e. What exactly would you do if you caught a live one?

I've no idea and I prefer to kill them. The glue boards are very effective but very inhumane. The snap traps are good but often the mouse can still be alive and things can get a bit messy then. Every method has its pro and cons, but setting them free in the wild would be the last thing on my mind to be honest.

you could just step on him instead of setting him free.
if its a rat hit him with a spade or shovel.

probly an easier / cheaper method is to just buy traps out of euro world ....

Not at all, inhumane is much too strong of a word to use here. There's killing the mouse, then there is being very cruel. It's vermine, setting a mouse into the wild (where it naturally thrives) is not inhumane.

You don't want to do that, unless you have no problems cleaning up the blood and guts you just mashed onto your floor ;)

This is definately something more worthwhile :P

Heard of a field mouse being put into a matchbox :P Scared the life out of a woman I worked with. She never has a light for her fags... :P
