    Hi all.
Just wondering what a fair price is for a 02 reg honda civic vtec? It a 1.6 petrol hatchback, in very good condition, serviced regularly (timing belt done) and has almost 120k on the clock. Am looking to advertise online, but don't want to ask for too much - or too little!!
    Thanks.

    just to give an idea.....

My GF sold her 3 door 2004 Type S last month.
All the usual Type S extras including
Full type R Kit with extra genuine Type R rear spoiler,
the standard 1.6 SOHC VTEC 110bhp engine,
    half leather,
    climate control
    AC
    All electric
    17" alloys.
    Knighthawk Black
Documented service history with a genuine 27,000 miles!

Ex EP Mooney demo car and my GF as the only owner since March 2004.

    Sold it for 8,500 euro.

Have had a look on some sites, but haven't seen an exact match to my car. It doesn't have alloys, but it does have a/c, electric windows and sun roof. It's a civic SE. Some people I've asked have said to look for 4,500 or so, but when I was looking at trading in the honda garage was only allowing me 3k.
Thanks for all the advice - any other ideas re price would be appreciated!

Your GF's was 2 nears newer and had one fifth the mileage.

OP, I'd say you'd be looking at 2 to 2.5 grand.

Take online prices with a pinch of salt. They are asking prices only, most by dealers who offer cash discounts for straight deal sales and also offer a warranty. What someone asks and what someone gets for it can be miles apart.

Find the cheapest similar one for sale and price yours below it. The high mileage will put some people off but the Civic's reputation for reliability and it's popular following will mean it should sell if priced realistically.

I think your GF's one is untypical tho, and achieved and untypically good price.

Sorry to go OT but that's mint!

Mileage might turn a lot of people off but I'd be thinking about 3 way
