I got my teeth whitened about 4 years ago when travelling in Canada. Loved it but at the time I did not like the way my teeth were..I had dracula-esque canine teeth. Also my upper left canine was slightly twisted giving a small gap from a hook effect between that tooth and the incisor.

When I came back to Ireland I had some cosmetic work done....nothing major at all just got those fangs filed down and a composite veneer to close the gap between the canine and incisor, also the upper incisor on the other side was covered in composite to raise the tooth and make it more flush with the rest of my teeth.

Now I love them but I want to get the whitened again. I think i remember my dentist advising me against getting whitening done with the composites in place but not sure if i just imagined it?

So does anyone know if its ok, or has anyone gotten their teeth whitened with a composite veneer in place before?

You can get whitening again no probs, however the composites will not bleach and you may need them replaced afterwards.
