    Howdy:

I used to read quite a bit of self help books as I used to suffer from depression. While, I have my bouts of melancholy -overall Im generally content. Anyway, I dont want to go into a psychological history but to talk about these books.

It was a mixture of these books/counselling/maturity/ events that got me out of the depression but like a lot of people, I feel my life could move up a gear. I have therefore taken out one of the self help books I kept. Im just not sure about it, because while the books helped in the past to give me a wider perspective ,I still feel Im the Worlds greatest procrastinator!
The books usually propel me into a hive of activity that quickly disappears. What I got from these books in the past was better mind management-I keep out the majority of negative thoughts I have and dont compare myself to others as much. But Im still something of a procrastinator!
Has anyone read a self help book and have they got anything from them?

Do these threads come up as New posts? Doesn't seem to? Will look at that thread.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand your question. Assuming you have the "last post time/descending" option selected, threads with the most recent posts in them will appear at the top of any forum.

Well firstly when you normally post in any thread I have previously posted on-it appears in the new posts. Look up 12 o clock there is a new post link you can post on that shows all new posts from all threads. Outside of personal issues-all areas. Its right beside calendar/search link. For some reason this does not happen with this thread-in fact my posts thread or posts dont even appear in my statistics/public profile.

Read Brian Tracy's Maximum Achievement, best motivational book ever,
    just read it!

Also read 'The Feel Good Factor' - can remember the author

Brian Tracy has tonnes of audio and video programs, they're expensive, but many people get them for free from illegal downloading sites. Hint Azerus. (Am I allowed mention that?)

Another thing mate, exercise, in particular intense running, especially in Irish weather, its a natural anti-depressant that works. You feel great afterwards.

Tbh, I never really noticed it so I have never clicked on that link before. There are a few different ways of navigating around Boards and everyone has their own preferred method. However, to answer your question, threads from PI/RI don't appear on the Latest Forum Posts list on the Boards front page, so I'd imagine they're excluded from the New Posts search as well. This was done to make the threads here less visible to trolls. If you have any further questions about this please PM me so as not to take this thread completely off-topic.
