My husband and i are looking to bring our 3 year old son away this year for the first time. We are looking for somewhere in mainland spain or the balearic islands. Anyone have a recommendation? My son is 3 so he won't be old enough for most kids clubs.

I stayed here in Ibiza a few years ago. Not sure what the situation is now Budget are gone. I didn't have kids at the time but there were a few families with young kids. Its around the bay a bit from San Antonio but still within walking distance. Its a quiet relaxing place but not too far from everywhere. Nice beach closeby and staff friendly. Think it was all Irish people staying there.

Hi Amy we always go to Fueteventura corraljo, now it is a 4 hour flight and it is in the canarie island, we find with our kids it is great very relaxing and not to expensive and there is a good breeze, we have also been to Salou now this is a very budget holiday found it very cheap and not to far on the flight 2 hours i think? may be better for the child weather good and lots to do can be very busy in peak season. Hope this helps, like the previous op stated that Budget tour operators are no longer in operation, maybe book flights and accomadation seperate

We went to salou last 2 yrs. Flight just over 2hrs, 15min transfer. The centre of Salou itself is very tack but the beach was great with loads of little playgrounds dotted along it. It a very family friendly resort as the nightlife wouldnt be great so you hav none of the 18-30 sort groups. There is 2 waterparks in the aera plus portadventura theme park. We stayed in hotel vila romana last yr with falcon and got a free child place so worked out very reasonable and couldnt really fault it. My dds were 3+4 last summer they luved the kiddie disco in the eve and the kids entertainers were very gud with the kids.
