Allow wheel anti-theft nuts

Went to change the wheel on the Celica this morning and after much searching the adaptor-thingy (It's a real word!) for the anti theft nut on the alloy is gone. Anyone know where you can get these easily?? Its an original Toyota one I think, has like 3 prongs.

I know with the log book and all I can get one from Toyota but I'm thinking €€€€€ & there's a recession on!

    Thanks in advance,
    Seánie

Toyota dealer is your best bet, other than that it involves banging it with a chisel or drilling it.

Get a socket that is one size too small and beat it over the nut, then just loosen it off. Say its a 17mm nut, get a 16mm socket. Works a treat.

Any tyre centre will have a lock nut removal kit aswell.

have a look on ebay, you might well find a new set of the same ones you have. would probably be the most convenient way to do it, and if you're lucky it might well be the cheapest too. :)

same thing happened me, after plenty of searching i found a thing on a lexus forum that suggested hammering a 19mm socket onto the lock nut and it should come off. worked for me a treat. was bit anxious to do it but the alternative is worse. i got an extra long 19mm socket bashed it on with the hammer. then just sort of jerk it loose. there is a collar on the nut that stops anything gripping it so thats why you can't grab a hold of it. feels great when you actually get them off:) takes 5 minutes

Went to my motorfactors and they're ordering me the removal kit for €20, helps to have a trade account, it's not for skangers
