    Just a quick question for yis .
    Whats the story with raking a split pot . Is it the norm or should it be done at all ????

    AFAIR rake is taken before showdown - when it is determined if it is a split pot.

    therefore whatever is left in the pot (after rake) is split between the players

    If there is a flop then the dealer is providing you with a service and so there is a rake:rolleyes::rolleyes:
    no flop no drop:D:D:D:D

    an old man told me a story one time about a raked split pot, then went on to say,
    We have tumbled, as though through error, into a world which by all evidence was not intended for us.     As said above Damo, the dealer is still providing the service and the house is entitled to the rake.
    However, ourselves and other organisers take the view that no player should receive less than they have put in.
    In the interest of fairness we operate a no flop no rake and a split pot no rake policy.
