What have other people done with regard employment since the recession began? My working week is extremely short now to the point that I'm exploring other options.

Have other people gone into different areas just to earn a living? If so what areas?

I really wouldn't mind doing anything but am unsure what areas to look into, if any. Would be great to hear any other peoples stories who were/are in a similar boat.
