Anyone know if you still have to give advanced passenger information if you are travelling to Spain?

When I booked my flights and checked in with Ryanair I didn't get any notifications of this requirement. I have gotten it in the past but not this time.

    Cheers!

Was this ever a separate step? As I remember it, you just check in for your flight and Ryanair forwards the required details. Spain wants details to be available no later than four hours before the flight. Conveniently, Ryanair online check-in closes four hours before the flight. So if they just use data collected during check-in, they can fulfill the legal requirements without having to bother passengers about it. The last time I flew to Spain was last summer and I think that was how it worked back then already.
