Hi, im getting married in summer 2011. Have it narrowed to three different venues,
    1. Ramada hotel Ballina
    2. Downhill house hotel
    3. diamond coast enniscrone

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

no immediate help as I've not been to a wedding in any of the above, however you should get on to www.weddingsonline.ie and research them individually.

As I'm also getting married in Mayo (but not in any of the above venues), I remember that the Diamond Coast got excellent reviews (but too far from me) and Ramada not so good reviews, but as I said, review to be sure.

I was at a wedding in the diamond coast last year. food and rooms were nice but has too much of an industrial warehouse feel from the outside.

are those the only three options?? of the three I would prob go for Enniscrone, downhill and Ramada last.

what about Mount Falcon (maybe too expensive), Breaffy in Castlebar, Mulranny or Westport? Ballina havent the best selection of hotels.

Dara, any particular reason you're going for North Mayo? Diamond coast probably your best bet but there are loads of other great hotels. As already mentioned, Mulranny is a great spot. The Park Inn do a spectacular job and the pics will be great. (No connection!)

This hotel is very popular for weddings and I have spoken to a few people who have been at weddings there in the last year and they enjoyed them and said the food was really nice.

Mulranny is where we're having ours.. beautiful setting and very professional assistance. Haven't been to a wedding there yet, but heard great reviews :)
