PS3 - MW2 - How did he get up there?..

Happy new year all, question about Derail in Domination..

Was online yesterday playing Domination in Derail and was getting caught by this sniper, eventually figured out where he (or she) was by watching the killcam... The sniper was hiding on top of the roof of the last building at the edge of the map behind the warehouse where Point C is. Say if you are at Point C, you face back to the warehouse, go right and follow the outside of the warehouse and you would see a set of step going back into the building. Across from the step, there is a oil tank. The sniper was hiding on the roof of the building behind the tank.

Long story short, does anyone know how the sniper managed to climb up there?

From this map, the sniper was on the roof on the rectanglur building on the edge at the top left corner.

Yea i know, you gotta stand up on the handrail opposite the oil tank & run along the rail at an angle and jump across onto the oil tank , from there u just hop up

Set your perk 3 to Commando Pro as this makes climbing onto things a lot easier . Last week this guy on the other team kept trying constantly to get up there but i kept knifing him , was quite funny how he never checked if i was still there :rolleyes:

Are you talking about the handrails on top of the steps at the back of the building? Can't seem to be able to do it last night, I got onto those rails, went to the corner of them and tried to hop over, but can't hang on to the oil tank...

Yea thats the handrail alright , i made a mistake yesterday, you should actually have your Perk 1 set at Marathon Pro as thats the climb obstacles faster perk .

I was up there today, its very tricky to get onto the roof & i couldnt actually get up there but getting up onto the oil tank is easy enough but it mit take you a few jumps!

Your best bet is to go into a private match on your own on derail and keep trying until u get it , i just spent a few mins there trying and i still cant manage to get onto the roof

Certain jumps are only possible while holding an air drop canister, basically that gives you an extra burst of speed which adds height to your jump, dont know if its required for this particular spot but its worth trying...........same applies to the central airplane in terminal, face to the left on top of the inflatable ramp, jump over to the baggage containers, then with the extra jumping power you can get on top of the plane.........bit pointless as you are a sitting duck up there

You have to jump off the side of the central section onto one kind of hoist that is hanging from one side.

Thats not being a dick, its a legitmate sniping spot, hard to get more than a couple of kills though, any half way decent player will eventually cop on and take great pleasure in head shotting you on the next spawn.

Nah, I always move after 3-5 kills... I never camp for too long like that

The roof on derail is quite tricky to get on tried a few times in private matches and never got up.

Was playing derail today and noticed a guy up in the powerlines. I killed him, but it was suspiciously like the flying people in MW1.
Anyone else come across this!
