Boohoo.com Refund Problem

    Hi,

On 2 Dec I ordered a dress from boohoo.com, the dress did not fit me so I had to return it.

I posted it back to them on the 21st Dec (it only arrived the day before, so the three week delay was because of the RoyalMail/Christmas post, I presume). Boohoo.com received the item back on 24 Dec.

I waited on last week when I hadn't ehard anything from boohoo.com regarding my return so I e-mailed them, then this week (Thursday 7 Jan) they e-mailed me to tell me they had processed my refund. So today I came online and checked my 3v account and saw my return had come through, but boohoo.com only refunded me £14 GBP.

The dress was £15 GBP and postage was £8.99, making the total I paid £23.99. In euros my total was €26.95 euros, yet, only have a refund of €15.39 euros.

Has anyone else had a problem like this with them?

    Thanks.

    Update:

I e-mailed Boohoo on Saturday (I know they don't respon to e-mails at weekends, but I though on Monday they'd have the decency to reply), however, until now, I have received no response from them, I sent another e-mail a few minutes ago, hopefully they will acknowledge it, but I don't have much hope.

What I'd like to know is, if they don't respond to any of my e-mails by next Tuesday (19th Jan), is there anything else I can do?

    Thank you.

Companies in my experience usually don't refund you the postage.

If I were you I wouldn't been expecting a refund on postage price. -they had to pay it and can't get it back unless item was faulty or falsely described which it appears it wasn't

There was no reason for them to refund the postage. They would have to do so if the dress was defective.

If you paid £15 and they refunded you £14 then as long as they were agreeing to refund you the full amount that you paid for the clothing they owe you £1. As above, online stores generally do not refund postage unless the item was faulty.

    From their returns policy
If you return the goods because you have changed your mind, we will refund the amount due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full. Delivery charges are not refundable.

It also says that you must notify them of returns before sending the package.

They also state that they charge a £1 admin fee for returns, however it does state that this is not applied to overseas customers so you have probably been charged this in error.

Might help to read the returns policy.

Did you notify them you were returning items before they were sent back?

Did you confirm that the items arrived back with boohoo.com?

They say that they take up to 30 days to process refunds so assuming you posted them on the 15th they may have taken 5 days to receive them so I would say at the latest you should receive your refund on the 19th January.

I would be very disappointed if they are not replying to emails or giving you updates on the telephone. I suggest you ring them and stay on the phone until you get a definitive answer. If that fails contact your credit card company and ask them to do a chargeback (they will only entertain this if you have receipt of delivery of returns)
