Internet Streaming to Media Player

I have a Zyxel DMA-2500 wired to my router via ethernet, and wired via HDMI to my TV. I was wondering if anyone is able to tell me how to stream internet content through the Media Player? I am able to stream content saved on my laptop wirelessly no problem, but not sure how to do it with internet streams. Thanks in advance.
