It's my 18th next Saturday and want to buy something really nice to wear for it ..
    I'm a size 6 (or 8) and 5'8" ..

    Any suggestions appreciated :)

(would rather not buy online cause of the delivery delays with snow)

What sort of look / style would you like to go for? :)

I'm assuming since it's an important Birthday, you'll want to go for something somewhat fancy and formal? (Feel free to correct me on that!)

Trend wise, the "peaches and cream" combination is really in this season.
I've seen some great dresses in light pastel colours with cute ruffles that are really girly and very pretty.
Saw one in Dunnes, a dust pink colour with structured corset detail, for 12 euro in the sales that was lovely. (No luck finding a pic!)
Considering your small frame, something slightly structured on top would highlight your slim waist! :)

It all depends on what style you're into and your colouring as well (ie. some colours can drain people etc)

You could also consider the option of having a "statement" piece, like shoes or a nice bag, and opt for a plainer dress?

Usually just general dresses and stuff - casual girly I suppose my style would be :) ..
Yea looking for something kind of special 'cause it's the big 18th!
Clothes in dunnes tend to be too big on me and just don't fit
me well at all! But that type of thing does sound lovely
I do need something either very tight or with structure in it, cause I have shape but I'm very slim so I can look drowned out easily..

Like I said my style is casual girly , I have brown hair, green eyes and am quite pale (will be fake tanned on the night though) and want to look quite "glam"

    oh and NO sequined dresses/jackets/anything!

There a Lipsy shop in Dundrum shopping centre, no doubt they'd have it there. Also I think they stock Lipsy in the Arnotts Project in Jervis? but I could well be wrong about that!

Just looked at the pic of this dress ... I actually tried it on, in black :)

It was nice - and half price in the sale! Think it was about 40 euro! Bargain!

    Where and when?

I was actually hoping it wasn't on sale (more chances of my size being there)

Tried it on in BT2 in Blanchardstown about a week ago.

Black was the only colour they had in that style of dress... and sizes were limited ... few size 8s, a 12 and few 14s.
