    HI all,

I was made redundant last Christmas (08) and started Job Seekers Benefit in June 09.
I started my own business - a Ltd Company in July. Although, no funds have been taken, and i'm not expecting anything until more mid-year, this year.
    therefore, i'm still claiming JSB.
Does anyone know if, once the business starts taking some money - if i'll still be able to claim? I know i won't be turning over anything near what i'd require to survive without the JSB... so i'm needing some advice on what or whom i should see????:confused:

    Hi Luisimac

You should first of all go visit your local partnership and ask to be put onto the short term enterprise allowance. In this way you will be able to keep your benefits up until the point that JB expires next June.

You would then have to apply for jobseekers allowance which I believe is means tested.

    Kind Regards
