microsoft office

Hi,
I have an acer aspire netbook. I got it a few months ago and mainly use it for the internet and college work. I didn't realise I was using a microsoft office trial and now the trial has run out Just wondering if anyone knows a way I can get around paying the $299 the microsoft website asks for? I'm a total idiot when it comes to technology etc.!

If you're a student you should get it for €50.... i think

You can't discuss how to get illegal software on this site. You can download open office, which will do everything you want and it's free.

There's a student edition even cheaper but it doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment on the website.

Thanks for all the replies. I downloaded a free trial from the microsoft website, hopefullly I might have a bit more money later in the year and can splash out on the student deal.
