I'm sure this has been done before but since theres no racing worthy of discussion we may aswell amuse ourselves some how.

Going a bit made with the polls also which is a worry...:o

Anyway, the poll doesn't have to do with the racing either channel shows...I'm talking about the presenters and production quality etc.

    Which 14 votes

    Racing UK

    ATR by far.

Im gona disagree and say RUK are by far the better of the 2..

Especially at the start of the flat year they look at unraced 2-y-o's
in the paddock and give u an idea how they look and generaly in other races aswell.

Their presenters knowledge of racing form is on a different level to the likes of matt chapman -j weaver and luke harvey..

Ah lads, its not even close.

The people/presenters that arent fools on ATR are so conspicious that its not funny. Gareth O'Brien should have been poached by RTE a long long time ago, if they were in any way concerned with the quality of their output. Jason Weaver and Sean Boyce are good.

In the absolutely clueless category include Luke Harvey, Derek Thompson, Richard Pitman, Zoey Bird, Alex Quinn, David Duggan, Aussie Jim McGrath, Gordon Brown etc etc. If they couldnt read the Racing Post spotlight, there would be a lot of dead air. McCririck looks knowledgeable on the channel. Cooper and Chapman aren't worst.

The channel where failed presenters go to die. At least on RUK, the presenters appear to like the sport.

ruk when the flat starts is better they give a good few big price tips and its something i like too listen to unlike the fools on atr its better to lay the tips they give on that station . maybe tips is the wrong word ...maybe opinions would be better .

Nick Luck makes me reach for the remote every time, so patronising and he really doe's seem to enjoy the sound of his own voice.
Gary O'Brien on ATR just gives you the info without the BS in a style that doesn't get on your tits if your'e watching Irish racing all the time.

ATR even though it resembles a circus, staring MC the ringmaster every now and then.

ATR - free and shows all the Irish meetings.

Think the OP specified not the racing that the channels cover but the actual presenters and production value.

If ATR didnt have the Irish racing, I could would gladly do without watching it from one end of the year to the next.

RUK is so more professional and Royal Ascot apart has the better courses.

He like Marmite though and you can see why. I hated him at first but love him now.

Steve Millar is a good addition for the Stateside. Rarely watch unless theres a decent set of races on. I like Woodbine, Turfway and a couple others
