    Hey Folks,

making up a new batch of fat balls this morning with usual lard, oats, seeds, breadcrumbs etc.

Would it be worth adding honey to the mix for extra energy? Is honey OK for the birds?

    Cheers

I don't know if honey is necessary. Certainly Budgie Bars contain Honey but I know feeders of Hummingbirds (in the States) are asked to avoid honey as it can ferment and also allows a mould to grow. A bird's metabolism is different to mammals and I think Fats are sufficient to boost their enery. But, good thinking!
