Nursing in America

My friend and I are both nurses and are looking to move to Boston and work there. Ive heard that there is alot involved with obtaining a visa and that it is a lengthy process. I know we have to complete an NCLEX exam also to nurse in america. We are just not sure what way to organise everything as there are so many agencies we could sign up with, who would help organise everything for us. Anyone have any experience with this or any helpful tips??!! Would be really grateful!

You might want to check that you're eligible to take state exams there too. I know in the field of veterinary (for example) in order to be allowed to even sit the exams over there, you have to have a qualification from an American recognized institution- probably worth checking out if there's a similar issue with nursing.
Also, in general, getting a working visa is pretty tough- you have to find a company willing to sponsor your visa (it's not cheap, and I think the employer has to pay for it) and as there are lots of American nurses looking for jobs you could have a tough time.
    Good luck.
