Try sending "D4Hotels" a PM on here. He was so helpful to me last year that I ended up staying in the D4 Hotels (Berkley Court) many times. I have no problem recommending the place at these stupidly low prices. I upgraded to a suite last year (still less than half the price of a 'normal' nights stay) and was very impressed for the price.

The hotels aren't the most modern, but for these prices you really can't go wrong. I found the staff to be very friendly too (we ate there and had drinks in the bar next door to the Berkley Court - 'The Dubliner' I think... all the one group)

Bugger - he was the only reason I stayed in the hotels. Well, it was due to his helpfulness and willing to haggle (even mor ethan the reduced prices) that I first started staying there.

Did he quit or what? IMHO he was the best thing about the hotels

No he was a consultant to the group and the Dunne goons came in and threw their weight around so he finished up and moved on IIRC

Just park on the double yellow lines in the Berkley Court at the main entrance (inside obviously, off the street) - everyone else does, just use common sense and don't block anyone

Also, I found that in the car park, often the entrance gate would remain open - i've count of how many times I drove out through the entrance hence avoided paying :pac:

Was able to book at this rate for Valentines night through booking.com even though this rate wasn't available on D4hotels.ie website for this night

Be careful doing this. I think a lot of the streets around there are 24-hour Pay and Display....
