my sister has a child who is three years old and is split up from the child father , the courts instructed him to pay my sister €30 a week in maintenance ,is this legally is a court order ?
lately he has not being paying her , coming up with all sorts or excuses not too , what can she do to ensure he pays her ? she has never refused him access to the child and he even said he would take her back to court if she ever did refuse access .
who does she contact or ask ? appealing to the father directly seems to be a waste of time .

If she can't talk directly to the father about the issue then

If you know a solicitor, take initial sounding from them. Alternatively talk to http://www.flac.ie/ they have a help line at: (01) 874 5690 or you can write to Free Legal Advice Centres, 13 Lower Dorset Street, Dublin 1. I'm not sure if they can directly help you, but they can point you in the right direction.

She should talk to a Solicitor. They can arrange for the money to be deducted directly from his wages/social welfare if he continues not to pay.

Tell her to keep a written of account of the each date the money is due, when he gives her money and the amount of money.

OP - Closed due to forum charter - We don't do legal advice. Speak to a solicitor as one or all of the subsequent posters suggested.

    Thanks,

    Tom
