That was Michael O'Leary in '82, is it back again?

John Gormley is minister for the environment.

The environment includes both snow and sun and other things in between. Hence, the holder of the environment portfolio would have an interest in those things from a professional point of view

This is the Political Theory forum so it's probably not best placed here.

In the winter of 1981/82 the then Labour party leader Michael O'Leary was Minister for Energy. He had concerns about snow as well. Especially after Garret Fitzgerald as Taoiseach put him in charge of the stuff.

There are a number of threads in the main Politics forum discussing the recent cold spell and the reactions of national and local authorities. Feel free to contribute to any of those:)
