If you're not fussy (and by you, I mean she) the DSlite is a lot better value imo. Some really good deals to be had for it in the likes of Game, Gamestop, HMV with games and accessory packs inclusive.

If you want the DSi, well, best bet is to go into the shops with a pen and pad and write down their offers. They'll usually be pretty visible in the DS/Wii section of the store. Write down what each comes with since they don't usually contain the same exact items.

Thanks nevore. Pardon my ignorance but whats the difference between them? Is it worth the extra 50 quid or whatever for the i version? I dont want to get something thats out dated straight away but dont want to waste money either tbh.

The main difference is the dsi store which lets you download games called dsiware which can't be played on the ds lite. Also in the future there may be games that will only work on the dsi. Also the dsi has 2 camera's. But if you only want to play regular ds games you could save money by buying the lite.

Edit: Sorry didn't read first post properly,If your kid is quite young you may as well buy the ds lite, hope this helps.
