Land Lovers looking for bass player

    Land Lovers (my band) needs a bass player.
    Listen to us here.
     We'd like someone talented, enthusiastic, reliable, etc. Of course.
    Being able and willing to sing harmonies is highly desirable.
    I'm reluctant to go on about influences too much, the right person might like very different music to us but we are broadly speaking an indie-pop band with debts to the Go-Betweens, Elvis Costello, Wolf Parade, Orange Juice, the Magnetic Fields, Guided By Voices and so on. We're trying to be a bit noisier at the moment.

    In our dreams, it would also be nice to have someone who can play a few other things and would like to do some swapping of instruments with Land Lovers' guitar guy from time to time. But that's in no way essential.

    We'll be trying people out straight away as we have a number of things coming up, including a tour in May.

    Hi,
    My name is Clive.I seen your ad and was wondering if you are still looking for a bass player?. I checked out your songs on my space and really liked what I heard. All the songs are very well written. I think No.1 Communique is a classic tune.It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up when I heard it, and its a long time since a song did that to me.Anyway, I've been playing bass for about 13 years now.I mainly played in original bands but more recently I spent two years living in Ibiza playing in a covers band in an Irish bar,playing every night of the week, so I have a fair bit of gigging experience.I can also play the guitar and the drums to a reasonable enough standard, so much so,that I've been in gigging bands over the years as a guitarist and also in a few bands as a drummer, so swapping instruments would be no problem. Im not sure if it makes any difference to you's but by looking at your band pictures I reckon I'm the same age as you as well, just incase you think I'm an ould lad or something,haha.
