ATI XGP: external gfx cards for laptops....

    Seems ATI will be releasing external gfx cards for laptops.

    Seemingly laptops with an external pci express 2.0 connector in the future will be able to use this external gfx card which will have it's own separate power supply.

    This was announced ages ago and I haven't really seen anything happen with it. It's a great idea but it just hasn't taken off. Plus if they could get it working on the laptops built in screen it would be a much better solution. Hopefully, given time this will start becoming common place.
