    hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what exactly is meant by the "closing date"? Is it the date by which everything has to be finalised? i.e the day you collect the keys and move in, or does it mean something else?

    Thanks.

Essentially yes, the contract may have been signed well in advance. It may also be the date when the balance of the payment is paid over.

If there is anything you don't understand, make sure your solicitor explains it to you.
