    An Irish girl has invented something called Sugru which is a polymer that can be used to fix just about anything. My dad got some for Christmas and has used it to fix the spine on his trolley and a dozen other things around the house. I won't attempt to explain what it is (it starts soft and then goes hard - yes, I know how that sounds), but it may save you a few quid if you're thinking something can't be salvaged.

    Looks interesting.
    Will try this on my runners.Every pair I buy fails in the same spot,left foot ,near the big toe.
    Good to see good Irish entrepreneurs.
