Rabo Funds for 2010

I see looking at their website that Rabo funds performed outstandingly well in 2009. Does anybody have an opinion if 2010 will live up to that kind of performance and which funds might be worth a punt?

It wont live up to 2009. The March to year end rally was unprecedented. It would have been pretty difficult not to make money on any fund. Sadly for 2010 you'll have to be a bit more selective

Yes I would have thought that unfortunately. I wonder does anyone have any ideas what might do well or are people keeping their cards close to their chest?

Me too. Got in about 2+ years ago and tanked initially. Now only €600 months off my original investment.

At the time China was doing a stormer but it absolutely tanked soon after. Also World Mining was doing staggering retuns every year but it tool a serious dive too. Not sure what to invest in now and would appreciate any advice

Also, I find it a pain in the ass to actually look at all the stock charts etc frm the rabo website - is there any easier way to do this?

I've given out to them about this, the old performance graphs were much more useful and usable than the micro graphs in the performance reports.

They dont seem interested in reverting to the old format...

As far as most stocks are concerned, I am staying out for now and waiting for the peak and subsequent 'meaningful correction'. 2009 and current levels are too good to be true, and the more I research and read on it, the more convinced I am that this is a madly dangerous time for beginner-intermediate investors. If I was longer at this game maybe I'd be thinking differently, then again maybe not.

I wouldn't say I've been keeping a keen eye on things but been watching nonetheless and I'd be agreeing with pog_it.

There's alway going to be stocks that are undervalued in any market, but overall when talking about funds I think the markets are due a correction. Feel free to throw this back in my face in a years time :D

This point probably needs its own thread, but can you please elaborate on your thoughts of why it is risky and a 'correction' is imminent?

Sharenav is being more specific regarding how much it should pull back by.

But I'm making my assumption on previous rallys where people are just going with the trend and get carried away in the bull market following a serious dip. There will be the inevitable pull back.

    But when?
