Trains Impacted by Weather?

Was supposed to be heading to Cork for the weekend but having second thoughts due to the blizzard conditions forecast for Sunday. Definitely not going to drive as I would be pretty sure that if the forecast materialises for Sunday I will be unable to drive back up.
So I am thinking about the train but wondering is it likely to be effected by snow, maybe delays or not able to run at all?
    What do people think?

They've run good service so far, I think the worst problem would be crowding as everyone would be of the same mind as yourself. IE have an excellent twitter, @irishrail and i'd recommend keeping an eye on it.

Haha, ticket is booked, fingers crossed there are no delays. Worst case scenario I end up on a long weekend in Cork!
