Happened too quickly to get my camera, but at about 1am last night, was looking out my apartment window, saw a hatchback speeding up the road, blasting techno, and the driver turn his headlights *off*, before skidding around the corner...

Are you in blanch/waterville area, i witnessed an astra yesterday with what can only be described as 'european pop techno music' blaring out of it flying up and down the road.

    aye, ashtown.

how did that terrify me? uh, in the middle of the night in these conditions, someone tearing around an estate with their lights off? that doesn't qualify????

Gently place a rock thru' their windshield if they repeat the performance.
That kind of feck acting is ruining the quality of life for many people.

AND definately ring and pester the cops about it.
Make sure it's less hassle for the cops to chase up this muppet
than it is to give you a glib answer.
Ring the super in the station, and onto Dublin castle too
    if you're getting no satisfaction.

    but..you weren't outside?
There was no risk of them hitting you..or....what?
    What exactly terrified you?

jesus, I'd hate to see how you'd handle a spider in a bathroom

People do this for a rush. I have heard of people that do something similar by going out into the country and flying through cross roads at 60-70 mph with there lights off at night. This isn't half as extreme but it is still stupid and dangerous. Terrifying might be over the top but it is reckless in the extreme. If there was someone walking on the road or anything they could be in trouble.

No need to start on at the OP.

Ya your a real tough guy well done you. It was obviously the thought of what could happen worried the OP.

    I agree with OP.

Doesn't matter if you're standing in their way or not.

It's just the thought that there are people out there who think that this would be fun!

They could have ended up around a tree and the already stressed emergency services would have had to be called in

To be fair, being worried or concerned, is a very different emotion to being terrified!
