My advice is don't use the people who make the Boards kit. Sizing is very odd to say the least.

Agreed with Raam. The prices are good (37 euro or so for a SS full zip jersey after you pay the 300 euro design fee!), but sizing seemed to change between orders and the quality isn't the best. Their shorts in particular are pretty poor.

if you give kennys for bikes a ring and ask for paul 053 92 33255 he gets the kit for the slaney club ,its top class gear.

I'd disagree, I think the Boards kit is very good and the sizing seems more normal in the more recent orders.

The main issue with the sizing was that they went a bit long, better than too short with crazy pocket placement like Santini kit I have (Tour of Ireland jersey.)

The Boards stuff is substantially cheaper than my own club kit and no lower in quality. Bear in mind that none of the custom print stuff is Assos quality but it's not Assos prices either.

The shorts are maybe slightly worse than my club kit but they are perfectly serviceable, I have done the Wicklow 200 in them... wouldn't do again by choice but then I wouldn't wear my club shorts to do that either. They would be fine for racing. Custom shorts tend to be the weak point. Jerseys and jackets were very good.

I got stuff in the first order what, two years ago now? And it is all still going strong (I wear the jersey more than any other jersey I have too BTW.)

Also note with carvalho that you can get custom sizing at no extra cost, so can get it bang on -we didn't simply because trying to organise 30 individual sizes would be far too big a headache... Raam's problems are down to his body shape, not to carvalho!

We got all our kit from Spin1 www.spin11.com found the service really good and great quality and really good fit and its an irish company but all the clothing is made by giordana and branded Spin 11.

Have to agree with blorg on the quality, our club jersey is by the same manufacturer and it's grand, the gloves aren't the mae west but again they're not expensive and look euro compliantgood , can't comment on the shorts.

You haven't seen the medium sized knee warmers

The Spin11 stuff is good quality but no more than the Boards kit and a bit more expensive. Sizing is a bit more "race fit" compared to the boards stuff, e.g. it's tighter. Tighter than most of my cycling stuff but perfect for race kit. The jacket is a lot warmer than the Boards jacket but the Boards jacket has substantially more water resistance. The Spin jacket is twice the price of the Boards one, in fairness there is probably more in it. The Spin shorts are a bit better but again for more money. Outside the jacket I reckon Spin is 15-30% more expensive.

One of the key things for me is the full zip Boards jersey, I don't know why they make jerseys any other way. Spin do a full-zip as well just my club didn't go for one. I strongly recommend full zip. A lot easier to get on and off, a bit graphic maybe but honestly it is godsend if you have your pockets packed full of stuff, bib shorts, and need to take a dump. Admittedly this is more a touring/sportive issue than a racing one.

These guys appear to be one of the cheapest around.(30-37GBP + Vat) I have a full set of kit from one of their pro-teams and a mate uses them for the leaders jerseys in a stage race here. They are very good quality (IMO better than carvalho, impsport and kalas) and the minimum quantity is 10 of one item, there are no set-up costs and reorders are from 10 pieces across the range. I would definitely recommend them if anyone is thinking of changing boards kit design.

Delivery is 6-8 Weeks Normal but for extra cost they can have them delivered 2 weeks after the design has been agreed

Have a look at www.velotec.co.uk, cheaper than Carvalho and Spin, and really good quality.

I would not go with the Boards kit makers.
IMHO quality is easily thepoorest of all bike kit that I have. Shorts in particular I find very uncomfy. However shorts are a personal thing for many people.

I actually find the Kalas stuff to be damn good quality (had a good chat with a rep of theirs and a good look at all their kit last year) -the shorts in particular use the same chamois that assos use... they're a tad pricey, but I do think worth the cash
