    Hello folks,

OK, first off I have to say I'm a bit clueless regarding computers, however I'm a small bit more clued in that my girlfriend who I'm trying to help here.

She recently got an iTouch and wanted to use the internet on it. Only thing is the laptop on which the PW was, is broken. Since it has broken however I have set up a wireless connection for my PC. However, I have no recollection of the PW/How I did it.

I remember getting onto a call centre and they directed me to a webpage where I entered 'admin' and the password 'password'. From there it was just entering the digits from the back of the router, iirc.

Does anyone know this site? I've tried netgear and NTL's pages, but found nothing of use to me.

    Thanks in advance!

Try to open up a web page. In the address type 192.168.1.2 (Or could be 192.168.1.1). Anyways, if this loads it'll give you the settings for your router where you can view the details/change password etc.

Either that or give them a call?

EDIT: Just found this, might help.

Thanks chin grin, but when I go to the address (tried all the netgear ones), this appears:

    Network Timeout

The operation timed out when attempting to contact 192.168.1.2. (etc.)

Am I missing something obvious here?
I've no ethernet access on the PC (it's connected to the Xbox downstairs), so am I in a jocker?

Sorry. My mistake. All fixed now.
Was as simple as looking at the bottom of the router (where i'd written everything I needed for the next time!)

    Sorry:o:o:o
