Sunderland a best priced 20/21 with Boylesports and Blue Square to beat Bolton this weekend.

    Seriously, get them backed.

fancy sunderland to win this one big time, been on a poor run of form lately but have improved last few games and were very unfortunate not to win their last couple of league games!bolton are terrible away from home!

I'm a Sunderland fan and as a rule of thumb very, very rarely bet on Sunderland. However, today was the first time in 5 years that I have bet on us to win, the price was far too tempting.

We're superb at home and Bolton are awful away from home, like you say. People will point to the fact that they will probably have Owen Coyle by Saturday and will be boosted by this however, if he is in charge by Saturday he'll have had no time to get his message across, he'll have had no time to explain his system properly to the players, no time to get his set pieces etc sorted and the biggest one for me is that Burnley were also terrible away from home under Coyle, there's no reason Bolton will be any different.

Seriously, this price is like a late Christmas present.

If Bolton get Coyle installed in time then it might not be as easy as you think. As far as I can remember, they bet ye lot at home last time 3-1 was it?

I'd expect Sunderland to beat them but I wouldn't bet on it.

I fancy Sunderland but the match will almost certainly be cancelled. Conditions up that direction are terrible right now

yeah apparently sunderland are just waiting for approval from the premier league to confirm that the game is postponed, the fulham pompey match is off too and the liverpool game will almost certainly be off! burnley stoke match off too!

Whatever and whenever it happens it will undoubtedly be a high scoring match.

Sunderland have scored 28 goals in 20 matches this season in the league (18 of them coming in 10 home matches) 13 of them from open play and 9 from crosses.

Bolton netted 26 in the league so far (10 of them away from home), 14 of them from open play and 7 from crosses.

Interestingly Sunderland have conceded 31 goals this term (13 of them at home), 20 from open play and 6 from crosses. Bolton have conceded 36 in the league (15 of them away from home) 26 of them from open play and 6 from crosses.

Given each teams ability to score from open play & crosses and the inability to defend from the same stats, this could prove to be a high-scoring affair :)

So far this season Sunderland have been involved in quite a few high-scoring matches, 5-2, 2-2, 4-3, 2-2, 2-2

    Bolton the same, 3-2, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 2-2, 3-2

    Interesting bets given the stats:

    Sunderland 2 Bolton 2
    Sunderland 3 Bolton 3
    Sunderland 3 Bolton 2
    Sunderland 2 Bolton 3

It was 4-1 to Bolton the last time we played them at the SoL but so much has changed since then. Incidently, that game was Keane's last in charge.

Game is definitely off now, looks like I'm off to Boylesports to get my money back tomorrow.
