Who should be Floyd's next opponent?

    It should be Pacquiao.

However, i'd be more than happy to see him fight Paul Williams at 147.

    Floyd vs Joshua Clottey
    1,Pacman,
    2, Mosley
    3, Williams

in that order, id have put Mosley 1st but the world wants pac v pbf

Mosley would be a tougher fight imo.

I would have voted Williams had you included him. Williams would box the ears off PBF. He would be ten times more difficult to contain that Pac. Williams offense is just relentless, he is a machine! I went for Mosley though, I think PBF will beat Mosley but it certainly won't be an easy fight.

Can't understand why Paul Williams isn't in there, although the chances of it happening are ZERO as he actually has a very good chance of winning.

Mayweather will probably take on Ivan Calderon next, just to prove his 'pure boxing skill' is as good as any.

I'd like to see the Mosley fight, although I do think that Sugar Shane is now past his sell by date and it wouldn't even be close - Floyd would take that one handy. And when he did, everyone would say "Oh Shane was an old man, of course Floyd should have won", so he really doesn't have a lot to gain from that one.

For some reason none of the other names are really sticking out there except Bradley - I know he's a weight down but he's a young fighter at the top of his game now and I wouldn't mind seeing this fight.

Obviously yea Williams is the big name missing, but I really don't see him coming back down to 147. Pavlik has been calling him out, that's a more realistic fight.

    Hmmmmmmm ......

I think Mayweather vs Malinaggi would be a contender for the most Boring fight of 2010 .

I didnt include Williams , as i dont think he will ever be at 147lbs again .

    Im just reading http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/01/pacquiao-to-face-clottey-instead-news/

Pacman looks like facing Clottey on March 13th !!!!
Thats a tough tough fight for Manny . Clottey is massive in comparison and got a great chin and defence too .

    Fair balls to the Pinoy

If it's not Pacman I'm not sure it matters. What kidn of box office would the possible fights listed above attract?

Mayweather v Mosley would be huge,

Mosley is a legend and after his beat down of Margarito he showed that he still has it against a very tough opponent who'd just beat Cotto, All real Boxing fans would love this, plus PBF alone sells fights.

I'd like to see Amir Khan v Mayweather, some of you may laugh but i think Khans speed and style under Freddie Roach would cause problems.Of the above options it has to be Sugar Shane.

    ha,ha, was expecting that :D
Fukkit though, why not? Same trainer as Pacman, spars with him, seriously fast, young and aiming to make a name for himself. Its one fight that Khan could lose and have little impact on his career. And if he won, well......

Mosely would do terrible against floyd, I dont know why your voting for him.He is terrible against anyone with a half decent jab.Kermit Cintron would be far better suited, or even if Floyd moved up a few pounds, he could fight the likes of Andre Ward or Sergio Martinez.

Berto will throw a spanner in the works here. Mosley will be frozen out when Berto beats him

    If not Pac then:
1.Cotto: (I just think it would be very interesting to see how PBF would do against him compared to Pac.) No chance Mayweather does what Pac did, and Cotto would give him a serious run for his money, only fighters Cottos has had trouble with are aggresive heavy hitters and FM is niether.
    2. Mosley: It's the obvious other big fight out there involving PBF.
    3. Williams: He deserves the fight.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Mayweather did fight Khan or M.Hatton next though. Wouldn't surprise me either if he started talking crap about Valero and calling him out to step up to 147, claiming he's giving the guy a shot.

Cotto? I think Cotto is starting to look a little shot - Floyd could do to him what he did to Gatti.

No chance it's Khan or Matthew Hatton next for PBF. None whatsoever. Calling out Valero isn't going to happen either.

Don't get me wrong I'm a Cotto fan, has been in some great fights over the years, but on his recent form I see Floyd taking him apart and making him look slow.

Kop on. Floyd has never fought a legit welterweight, his so called division. If Khan vacates, yes he is a bitch.

Yes he did and it was a nice big pay day for his first fight back in boxing.Everyone knew that was a circus.I don't like flyod at all,but I wouldn't label him a pussy or a bitch.
If he fights Williams I would be delighted just as much as you would. Can floyd even make it back down to light welter weight? Is he stuck in a bad weight class?
He most definitely ducked Tszyu,no doubt about it and I wouldn't blame him either.

WIlliams is now fighting at light middle and would come down in a heart beat. Comeback fight ? give me a break he just took an extra long vacation no big deal.

If he wants to fight the likes of marquez, thats fine but l4l best, me thinks not.
Floyd aint going to piss on my shoes and tell me its raining

If you asked me in the press tomorow if I was willing to fight Mosley I'd say yeah, well not me, my press guys would say it on my behalf, I'd probably predict that I'd finish him in 6 rounds too. Unfortunately when he approached me I'm pretty sure I'd only want to fight in Cavan, and only if he kissed my boots in the ring before the fight, but if he didn't agree to that he'd obviously be trying to scupper the fight.
