Tbh, I think this is ridiculous.

Not only is it probably unenforceable, and impossible to apply justly, but I have to admit that while I can see an argument for a right not to be hit, I don't see a right to receiving positive affirmation from other people. People shouldn't have to hide their opinions to make you feel better.

As one of the articles asks, is an unpleasant answer to the ancient question: "Does my bum look big in this?", psychological abuse, especially when one considers the devastating impact this could have on a woman's self esteem.

Seems like a stupid law to me.

Mental and emotional abuse is still domestic abuse and both men and women suffer from it.
