Ive been doing exams for the last couple of weeks so im not sure what shops are selling the beyonetta collectors edition.

It is called the Climax edition.

Tis a Play.com exclusive, but that might not cover ireland... I havent heard of any b&m stores getting any though

I've just been reading a few reviews and am well disapointed that it is getting 'relatively' poor reviews for the PS3 version.I know mid to late 80's is not an end of the world score,but when you consider that some sites are giving the 360 version a perfect score, a drop of 20 or more points for the PS3 version is fairly substantial.The problem seems to be mostly with frame rate and that the system can't keep up with the pace of the game,It's certainly worrying to hear that the game pauses,sometimes during combat,to load.And also that the load times throughout the game are painfully long.I haven't had a chance to play it yet and probably won't for a while as I'm skint after crimbo, so hopefully you guy's can put my mind at rest after putting in a little hands on and posting your thoughts.As usual thanks in advance.

Was gonna get this until i read the PS3 version has a ton of technical issues compared to the 360, screen tearing and loading times are meant to be horrendous on it, so will pass on this for the mo, wonder if a patch or something can be worked for it? its a pity as theres been a big void in action games since DMC4 came out, but with Dantes Inferno and GOW3 on the horizon i wont be getting this

Doubt there will be a patch, has been out in Japan for well over a month and there hasn't been a patch. And if there was gonna be patch for a PS3 version of a game, it would happen in Japan!

The PS3 version was ported by SEGA, not Platinum so unless SEGA goes out of their way to patch it I doubt its gonna happen. Example of how bad the pauses are in the PS3 version:

Notice how it has to load the pause menu on the PS3....thats when you know its kinda bad, also had it a small bit on the demo too.

I ended up going for the 360 version, the performance boost over what I played in the ps3 demo was amazing but it still wasnt perfect, instead of framerate dips you get tearing and the cutscenes are limited to 30fps, which is weird cos the gameplay runs at 60. even if I only had a ps3 I still would have got the game as its probably the best game Ive played in over a year
