Frosting and condensation in integ. fridge

We have a Liebherr fridge with biofresh compartments.
It was fitted as integrated as part of the kitchen installation.

I've spoken to the Liebherr service guy in the area just before Christmas and I mean to get back to him again.

Anyway - the problem which has developed is that a lot of frost/ice builds up on the back wall at the interface between the bottom shelf of the regular fridge compartment and the top biofresh shelf. It then creates a situation where the top drawer of the biofresh set of drawers it pushed out and the doors don't seal correctly. We are periodically clearing the ice buildup so that we can close up the doors again. In the meantime I can hear a dripping sound which I believe is the auto-defrost kicking in.

I've a feeling that the temp inside the fridge (set for 4C) is probably a bit uneven in the overall main compartment and I've seen plastic wrapped items appearing to have condensation form around them earlier than I would normally expect.

I think , one theory when I spoke to the service guy (who hasn't yet come to see the unit) is that the kickboard under the fridge should have been supplied with vents to allow the condensor/evaporation cycle to work correctly. He seemed to indicate that , in some cases, he has seen expensive fridges (like ours) incorrectly installed without the correct ventilation and they are damage beyond the point where it is economically wise to fix them (assuming they are out of guarantee)

Anyone with similar experiences or ideas ?

I'm planning to get the service guy to visit. I also contacted the kitchen guys (who were top notch in every other respect) about replacing the kick board under the unit with one with appropriate venting apertures.

is the frost build up a snowy ice? if so there is air getting into the fridge.this is due to installation, most common fault on integrated fridges is that they move back into your kitchen cabinet and the fridge door does not close and seal properly. if you can here wood hitting wood when you close the door, the furniture door is closing but not the fridge door

Fridges which defrost automatically have a tube outlet at the back, usually at the back of the middle shelf. This tube can get blocked a leads to a build up of ice, I clear it with a flexible curtain wire.
